About us
|
Since 1994 we – Cees & Inge - have been visiting South Africa regularly for our holidays. We fell in love with this country in all its diversity. But more than that, we felt very much at home and so slowly the idea to settle here developed. After 3 years of preparation for this step, we finally took the plunge in 2007. Together with our Boxer dog Bugsy we started on our B&B, “Inn Between”. As is often seen in TV programmes about people who follow their dream to a distant country, we too encountered many obstacles on the way. The building and construction work was one of the things that went quite amiss. It sometimes felt as if we were in a movie, but many varied experiences richer, we opened our doors halfway through the season of 2008.
Cees is running the B&B full-time having left KLM after working there for 18 years. The eggs at breakfast have become his specialty, but he also makes suggestions and provides information about Cape Town, the Cape Peninsula and the Garden Route with great enthusiasm and passion. He also does tours of the wine district himself, patterned to your specific needs, which means you can really enjoy the wine-tasting without having to worry about driving.
Inge is currently working part-time as a stewardess for KLM. She is the B&B's hostess and will gladly tell you about beautiful spots in the surrounding area. If you enjoy hiking, Inge and their other adopted dog, Lola, will eagerly be your guide in the nearby mountains in the Silvermine Nature Reserve. She is also the behind-the scenes person doing the marketing of the B&B. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our B&B “Inn Between” and letting you enjoy our hospitality. |
